About Margaret Embree
Margaret has been been a painter for over 30 years.
Having been introduced to many styles of paint application by her mother when Margaret was young, she developed a love of painting and the concepts behind them. Finding the energy of the Virginia Landscape inspiring, she often employs it as a vehicle for the human condition. In her abstracts, she distills this energy more into inner moments of experience.
Margaret received a degree in Studio Art at the University of Mary Washington. She is an award winning artist, both regionally and nationally. Margaret’s studio is at McGuffey Art Center.
